Requiescat in Pace: Eva Zeisel

“Men have no concept of how to design things for the home. Women should design the things they use.”

So said industrial designer Eva Zeisel, who died yesterday at age 105, after a rich, creative, and highly influential life.

May her soul rest in peace. Her thought is so true. I fully agree.

She was amazing. I only learned about her from a WALL STREET JOURNAL article earlier this year. I scrounged around to find salt and pepper shakers in the shape of black and white birds that sort of rock, meaning they have movement. Thank you for the brief homage. If you can find that article and post it, it might be worthwhile to share. If you can't find it, let me know, and I'll get it to you. Thanks!

I think that is what we all want! The 'brain" part is my stumbling block!

How interesting! A very few humans live to 105!

My theory is they are all artistic, engaged, enthusiastic, excited, and doing something we will love to see, read, or somehow participate in!

Bravo Eva!

Lovely Post AL!!!!
