Traffic Report

I hate to be a bore but as this blog comes slowly back to life, some road work is necessary. Namely comments must be from registered users. I do apologize for this inconvenience, which will require users to jump a registration hurdle. It's all due to one particularly annoying Anonymous, alas, whose clockwork nastiness wears down one's soul.

A little detour is no grave matter: glad to see you back to posting regardless of intermittence! Thanks.

Wow such a bore....hope you are able to fix the problem with the new plan.....good luck!

Truly, they are not worth the bother.

Your gracious apology accepted.
My GPS is ready to 'round the detour.

The signage is so Pee Wee Hermans Big Adventure, squiggly and hysterically funny as the road curves on his little journey.

Oh, so difficult to navigate the computer...but you are worth the struggle and anxiety.

My Eyes depend on you now for lessons to learn and visual delights.

I appreciate your situation. Reading blogs is enjoyable, reading some of the comments, not so much.

Absolutely understood. There are always a few loonies out there and being able to vet the blog will help weed out the crazies.

Reasoned discourse is one thing, rants and denigration of the thoughts and opinions of others is quite another; you and the readers should not have to bear the brunt of someone's publicly aired mania.

Darling Aesthete, I miss you and hope you do come back. I hate to hear some spineless spiteful twit is in anyway responsible for your distance and distress. I completely understand, and don't think it fair at all that one can leave a nasty comment without ownership. At least have the guts to back up your word. If you can't put your name to it, doesn't it just reek of invalidity, pettiness, stupidity, and cowardice?
I look forward to your each and every future post!

Your blog is a gift of knowledge and elegance. One so many are elated is back for us to relish. As for comments, no jealous cretins need apply.

Quite frankly my dear, I applaud this move. What I'd like even more if some of those techno-wizards could ID the "brown cloud" and other hostile/nasty Anon posters (think those on Decorno) who have fun hurling hateful nasty comments without name or moniker.

Do you know, if you required a small and unobtrusive tattoo in lieu of registration, I'd have to seriously consider it.

Welcome back. And thank you.

I am pretty happy to follow you on any adventure, as I am sure that there will be many treasures along the way!

I'm so glad you are back, I really missed your posts. And jumping a registrational hurdle is such a small price to pay for this site.

Take a little virtual holiday at my finca in the South of Spain, forget about the sad and lonely ghouls who haunt the web. You are doing a great job. Just one question...why do you have a Regency interior in juxtaposition with Oscar's china quote? By the way I have piles of old Punch leather bound magazines from the late 19thc.One shows the Tennial cartoon of a woe begone, slatternly servant was shown contemplating her own china in aesthetic torment....fabulous. Please visit me at my summer finca in Spain.
